Pakistan has strongly denied launching any drone or rocket attacks on India and clarified that only small arms were used in response along the Line of Control (LoC). Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, made this statement during an interview with Turkish broadcaster TRT World on Friday.
General Sharif explained that the Indian army’s claims of drone or air strikes by Pakistan are false and lack any evidence. He stressed that in today’s digital age, any missile attack would leave clear proof, which India has failed to provide. He also questioned India’s claim of capturing Pakistani pilots, asking, “If they have our pilots, where are they?”
The military spokesperson accused India of targeting civilians in recent attacks. He revealed that Indian forces struck six locations inside Pakistan, killing innocent women and children, and even bombed a mosque. He called these actions clear examples of terrorism.
Furthermore, General Sharif said Pakistan responded responsibly after the attack on tourists in Pahalgam. The Pakistani government offered to allow a neutral and independent investigation into the incident, but India refused the offer. He added that blaming Pakistan without proof is part of India’s political strategy.
He also urged India to stop making baseless allegations and instead allow United Nations observers full access to the LoC. According to him, this would ensure transparency and help both sides avoid misunderstandings.
Tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors remain high as ceasefire violations and cross-border accusations continue. Meanwhile, global powers have called on both countries to show restraint and avoid any further escalation.
