ISLAMABAD: Two women and several other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers have been detained on Coring Road located just outside Bani Gala on Monday, a private news channel reported.
The detained women are PTI workers from Lahore and were protesting with others for not being allowed to proceed to Imran Khan’s residence. Those detained are being moved to the secretariat police station.
Earlier, police detained and later released PTI leaders Imran Ismail and Arif Alvi from the same spot. PTI MPA from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junaid Akbar was also detained.
Police are only allowing residents of the area to enter Bani Gala after being shown proper identification.
