MUZAFFARABAD: Nine ministers of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) cabinet sworn in on Saturday.
AJK President Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan administered oath to the newly elected cabinet members in a simple but impressive ceremony held at the President Secretariat. Those sworn in include Chaudhary Tariq Farooq, Dr Muhammad Najeeb Naqi, Farooq Sikander, Raja Nissar Ahamd Khan, Muhammad Mushtaq Minhas, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Chaudhary Muhammad Aziz, Noreen Arif and Syed Iftikhar.
AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir and other government officials were also present at the oath-taking ceremony.
Meanwhile, the newly inducted cabinet condemned massacre of innocent Kashmiris in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK).
In a unanimously passed resolution at its informal meeting held in Muzaffarabad with Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider in the chair, the cabinet reaffirmed its commitment to lend all of its energies and resources for liberation of occupied Kashmir from the Indian subjugation. The AJK cabinet assured people of IHK that they would never find themselves alone in their freedom struggle.
The cabinet commended valiant people of occupied Kashmir for showing affection, commitment and solidarity with Pakistan by waving Pakistani flags in the shadow of the guns of the Indian occupational forces.
